Spring Bird Walk - Saturday May 21st 8:00-10:00 am.

Join us for bird watching around town during the height of the spring migration!

Meet at the Alan E. Rich Environmental Park for a two hour bird walk led by
Jeff Johnstone and other members of the Athol Bird and Nature Club. 

We will explore the Alan E. Rich Environmental Park and also along the river toward the treatment plant.  There should be a great variety of species present at this time of year!  Beginners to experts welcome. 

The walk will be an easy ramble.

Please bring binoculars and/or bird books if you have them.

The library will provide some bird guides for participants to use during the walk.

Extreme weather cancels.

Jeff Johnstone is an active member of the Athol Bird and Nature Club.  He is
an avid birder very familiar with the birds of the North Quabbin area.  He
leads bird walks throughout Massachusetts and leads the "Early Bird -
Birding with Jeff" series for the Athol Bird and Nature Club.
