- Even learn how to research the competition before you write your book!
On Thursday, July 14, literary agent Jan Kardys will offer a workshop on the secrets of getting published. This workshop is designed to help aspiring writers learn about finding an agent and the steps necessary to publish a book.
Participants will gain an insider’s view of book publishing and learn how to effectively find an agent, how to write a book proposal and prepare a manuscript for submission, learn about publicity and marketing/promotion and investigate opportunities for self-publishing.
Jan Kardys is president of Black Hawk Literary Agency in Redding, Connecticut and has over 30 years of diversified publishing experience for nine major publishers.
Ms Kardys’ workshop will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the library’s activity room, and is offered without charge to participants. For further information, please telephone the library at 978.249.9515.
