Jeanne Forand (pictured above)is looking forward to a special event which will be held at the Athol Public Library on Tuesday, February 16 from 5:30 to 6:30. Miryam Williamson of Warwick, Massachusetts will be reading from Measuring Time-by an Hourglass, a book written by her friend Adele (Kitty) Crockett Robertson, author also of The Orchard, the library’s On the Same Page selection for 2010. Williamson is a former newspaper reporter and magazine writer. She is the author of several books on artificial intelligence, health, and longevity. The book from which she will be reading is a collection of essays which are reflections on 20th century life in small town New England. They were first published in the Ipswich Chronicle. Copies of Measuring Time-by an Hourglass are available to check out at the library. The program is free and is funded by the Friends of the Athol Public Library.
