Community Reading Day is an annual event where volunteers from the community volunteer to read aloud to elementary and middle school classrooms in the district.

The staffs at the Athol Public Library and in the Athol-Royalston Regional School District are planning Community Reading Day.  Volunteers are needed to read in elementary school classrooms and in the English classes at the middle school.

This year Community Reading Day will take place on Tuesday, November 3, in the elementary schools and on Wednesday, November 4, at the middle school.

Books and reader information will be provided by the staff at the library at an orientation session in the program room at the library on Wednesday, October 28, from 5:00 to 5:30.  To volunteer, please call Jean Shaughnessy, Karen McNiff, or Anne Cutler-Russo at the library at 978-249-9515.
