Dear PC Doctor:
I have an HP laptop. I know it has a working camera because I have used it for Skype. Can I use it to take a still photo? I‘m at work in my awesome Halloween costume but I can’t figure out how to access the computer camera.
Thanks,
Hermione
Dear Hermione:
The specific directions may vary depending on the exact computer model but this worked for me. Try the following: go to the ‘orb’ at the bottom left of your computer. Choose ‘All Programs’ and then ‘Communication and Chat.’ Do you see your webcam listed? Click on it to open. Your webcam should launch, giving you the option to take a ‘snapshot,’ or similar.
Until next time,
Happy Computing!
