Join the Athol Public Library at 568 Main Street, Athol, on Thursday, November 10, 2016, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., when we welcome Paula Castner for her workshop.
Healthy & Allergen Free Holiday Baking 101 with Paula Castner.
Join us for a healthy and allergen free workshop. Paula comes with a spread of incredible delicious desserts. Do food allergies or dietary restrictions prevent your family members from enjoying the sweets they crave? Would you like to know how to adapt your favorite baked recipes to accommodate almost any food need you and your family have? Learn the “secrets” to substituting ingredients in recipes to create desserts which not only are healthier for you but delicious tasting too.
This is not a baking demonstration or a baking class but a workshop to teach you how to revamp your own holiday recipes. There will be no baking during this program. Attendees are encouraged to bring in a recipe they would like to learn how to make healthy and allergen free. This program includes handouts and tasting of desserts.
Paula has over 40 years of familiarity with food allergies and 20 years’ experience with hypoglycemic and diabetic requirements. Paula is a baking coach as well as a freelance writer, playwright, drama director, writing workshop facilitator, and professional administrator.
This library program is free and open to the public. This program was generously funded by the Friends of the Athol Public Library.
Due to the nature of the program there is a limit to number of participants. Registration is Required! Please call the library to sign up at 978-249-9515.
