Working Together for Farms and Local Food
Author Visit and Book Signing!

Tuesday, August 29
7:00 - 8:00 pm
Program Room

Local farms, local consumers, and local writers and artists are working together to foster local food systems and keep our area a great place to live!

Local food and farming can help us “connect the dots” between health, community, and local economies.

Join us for a presentation and discussion about the past, present, and possible future of local food in our area. Author Cathy Stanton will talk about her new book A Quabbin Farm Album, which features stories about agriculture and local food marketing efforts like Quabbin Harvest Co-op in Orange.

Cathy Stanton is a Senior Lecturer at Tufts University and is active on many local committees including the Greater Quabbin Food Alliance and the board of directors of Quabbin Harvest.  She has lived and written in the North Quabbin for several decades and is a food and cat enthusiast.
Free and open to the public.

Light refreshments, courtesy of the Friends of the Athol Public Library.

Please call 978-249-9515 to reserve your spot.
