Dear PC Doctor:

Today, on my Windows 7 computer, the message “the BSvc processor has stopped working” showed up.  It gave me the choice to search for a solution or close the processor.  I closed the processor.  But it’s popped up 4 more times and is interrupting the flow of my work.  I’m beginning to think it’s something I have to deal with.  Can you give me some information?

Signed,

   Felicia

Dear Felicia:

The error “BSvc processor has stopped working, please close the program” has been linked to the Bing Bar in your browser.   You can try removing Bing.  To do this, click on Control Panel, and then Programs and Features.  Uninstall Bing from the list.  Restart your computer.

Skype has also been named as a culprit in this problem.  If uninstalling Bing didn’t help, try also uninstalling Skype.  You can also run a malware and/or spyware scan and delete any infected files.

If none of the above solves your problem, you may want to bring your computer in to a reputable repair shop and have the folks there take care of it.

I hope this helps.
Until next time,
Happy Computing!
