Do you know any trick or tips for making the internet load faster? Sometimes it seems like things take forever, especially when I open a new page. I get frustrated.

Dear Jemma:
Websites today are full of photos, videos, and sound – they are bigger and richer than the plain text websites of long ago. Over time, it can seem like your computer is slowing down. However, there are some things you can do within your browser to improve speed and performance:
- Clear the cache and cookies every now and then. Every browser has this feature, either under Settings or Options.
- Uninstalling your browser and re-installing it can actually help. Be aware that this also will delete your bookmarks.
- Keep your open tabs to a minimum. The more tabs you have open while you’re browsing the internet, the more bogged down things can become.
