The Marvelous Amusing

Quack Medicine Show

Tuesday, April 5th at 5:30 p.m.

Take an interesting, informative, and fun look back in time to the extraordinary medical techniques practiced during the 18th and 19th centuries.

Offered by presenter Dave Downs, recipient of the “Best Exhibitor Award” at the New England History Festival, this library program is suitable for adult and family audiences.

An array of historical medical devices will be on display, and Mr. Downs will inform, amuse, and intrigue with his historical medical knowledge, sparing details that may be too gruesome for all audiences. (This is not a "gross-out" show!)

This library program is free and open to the public!

Call the library to sign up at 978-249-9515.

Funding provided by the Friends of the Athol Public Library.

(In the unlikely event of snow, the snow date for this event is Thursday, April 7th at 5:45 p.m.)
