Summer's here and the time is right for exploring some fun and easy hikes nearby!

New to hiking, just starting to get in shape, or wanting to start exploring nature with young children? This presentation is for you!

Joe Adamowicz is the author of several New England hiking guides and will share some treasures from his most recent book, Johnny Appleseed Hikes for Kids. North Central Massachusetts is known as "Johnny Appleseed Country." This book provides details of 25 hikes in the region and includes maps and photos, along with tips on what to bring and how to prepare, in addition to "KID KONNECTS" -- trail features that will appeal to youngsters. Hikers of all ages will enjoy discovering these local sites.
