Ages 5-11
Science and stories collide in this interactive S.T.E.M. program featuring the ‘coolest’ thing in science — DRY ICE! (Also known as frozen carbon dioxide)
Join us on an adventure about Professor Noble and the Science Heroes, who try to thwart an icy-hearted villain from freezing the entire planet!
The audience helps the performer act out the tale as we use the events in the story to discover and explore dry ice and the changing states of matter.
Volunteers help conduct each experiment as the whole audience gets involved in changing variables and making predictions! We’ll even bring some of the dry ice experiments out into the crowd for everyone to experience! Together we’ll make cloud-filled bubbles, taste a cloud, get a cloud dumped on our heads, and much more!
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Athol Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
