Dear PC Doctor:

I just switched to Windows 10 and am using Microsoft Edge for internet browsing. I noticed that there’s no more “Print Preview” option when I go to print something off the internet. You can see the pages and how many, but it’s all blurred out. Ugh! I don’t want to have to print every page of a web site! Where is Print Preview in Edge?

Signed,

Mel

Dear Mel:

You are not the only person frustrated by this weird missing tool! There are several web forums devoted to conversation about it. I haven’t found any official Microsoft explanations or instructions for previewing before you print from Edge. It’s baffling. I did, however, do some random clicking around and I discovered something that works.

Navigate Edge to the site from which you want to print. On the upper right of the screen there are three horizontal dots. Click there. About halfway down the list, choose “Print.” A black box will open up with menu choices on the left and a blurry screen shot of what you’ll be printing on the right. At the bottom of that box, click “More settings.” A new screen will appear. You don’t have to change anything on this screen. Just click the box that says “OK.” You should now have a clear preview of what will be coming out of the printer and will be able to choose only the pages you want. Don’t ask me why this works. I tried it on 5 different computers and succeeded each time.

I hope this helps!
Until next time,
Happy computing!
