The Athol Public Library to Offer Curbside Pick Up of Library Materials!
Beginning June 8, 2020.
The staff of the Athol Public Library is happy to announce that, although we cannot open the building to patrons at this time, starting on June 8th, the library will begin offering curbside delivery of library materials.
Once the request is received, staff members will gather materials from the library collection. When your request is ready, a member of the staff will call you to schedule a pickup time.
If you are arriving by car, we will ask your make and license plate and deliver your library materials directly into the trunk of your car. Please park near the drive-up book drop.
If you are arriving on foot, we will place your items atop the drive-up book drop, labeled with your name, and watch from a distance to see that you have received them.
All patrons making use of this service are asked to wear a face covering.
Staff will be available Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Internet requests may be sent at any time and will be filled as they are received.
In addition, library patrons who have items waiting for them on the hold shelf will begin receiving phone calls on June 3 so that they may schedule a time to come get them.
The library’s book drop is open and we encourage patrons to return items they no longer need. Please note that returned items will be quarantined for a period of 72 hours and will be checked in at the end of that period.
For more information, please see the library’s website www.athollibrary.org, or call 978-249-9515.
