Dear PC Doctor:

In my workplace, several of us share one professional Zoom account. The picture changes depending on who is using the account because we use the webcam – How do I change the words that are next to my picture in the list of participants? Can I do it during an active meeting?

Thanks, Miss Nomer

Dear Miss Nomer:

There are several ways to change the name that displays in the list of participants. When you open your Zoom app, you can click Join to join a meeting. On the same screen where you would enter the meeting ID, there is an oblong box in which you can enter your name as you would like it to appear.

Once you are in a meeting, you can change your name. Click the More button at the bottom of your screen. Click Participants. Hover your mouse over your name. You’ll get a blue oval that says More. Click Rename. Enter the name you want the other meeting attendees to see.

I hope this helps!
Until next time,
Happy computing!
