Sitting Volleyball and the Paralympics

The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games begin August 28 and run through September 8. And we have a bronze medal winner right here in Athol!

Join us on September 9th as Lo Nigrosh shares stories about being an elite competitor in the 2004 Athens games and information about some of her favorite sports. She'll bring Paralympic memorabilia - including Paralympic pins, a jersey, and her Sitting Volleyball bronze medal, which everyone will get a chance to hold!

We'll watch a few highlights clips of Paralympic events and then Lo will show us how to play sitting volleyball right here in the library!
