Join the Athol Public Library at 568 Main Street, Athol, on Thursday, June 5 from 6:00-7:00 pm, when we welcome Kandie Carle as she takes us on a journey of discovery by using clothing and accessories as a tool to reflect the era.

Dressing from corset to gloves, the Victorian Lady will entertain us with humor and period fashion of the Gilded Age! Included are anecdotes and myth busting. The performance is full of audience interaction.

She dresses in layers of clothing of the 1890’s and as each piece is added she explains how it was worn, as well as when and where it was appropriate. Throughout the presentation she shares insights into fashion, lifestyle, manners, and etiquette of men, women, and children.

Kandie Carle has been working in theatre for over 30 years as an actress, dancer, singer, and director throughout the US and abroad. Her performance resume covers the spectrum from Shakespeare to musical comedy. Ms. Carle created the Victorian Lady to share her passion for history, culture, and social reflection. Carle is based out of East Haddam, CT but travels the country as the Victorian Lady.
