The Athol Public Library will hold a book launch and signing for J. A. McIntosh, a local author, on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 6:30 pm. The event will include a reading, food, and a raffle.

Copies of Ms. McIntosh’s book, Niagara Fontaine, a Meredith, Massachusetts novel, will be available for sale ($9.99). The title character, Niagara Fontaine, is an attorney from a small town who is dealing with the death of a child and disappearance of other children she knows. Niagara has made some poor decisions about her career, her food, and her relationships. She vows to change, if only she can make it through the next few days.

The author, a life-long resident of the North Quabbin region, will discuss how living in this area influenced her writing. Additional information can be obtained at the Athol Library or at Ms. McIntosh’s website, jamcintosh.com.

J. A. McIntosh spent many years as an attorney for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, wishing that she could be an author. She now writes about her former life, takes walks in the woods, plays piano, and practices karate. She continues to indulge her addiction to chocolate.
